Watchdog: LinkedIn shows no interest in lifting Russia’s blocking
MOSCOW, Feb 11 (PRIME) -- U.S. professional social network LinkedIn has showed no interest in unblocking its work in Russia and asked no questions on the matter, the Russian communications service’s Deputy Director Antonina Priezzhayeva told reporters on Tuesday.
The company may have lost interest in the country, Priezzhayeva said.
The watchdog put LinkedIn on the register of banned information in late 2016 because the social network had ignored the law on storage of personal data of Russians in the country. The incident had become the first blocking of a large social network in the country.
